I started working at Christ the Good Shepherd in 1992 as a Preschool Teacher in the Early Childhood Program here. I loved my 16 years in this position, but I had to leave for a full-time job in 2008 when my husband, Jerry, got sick and sadly passed away the next year.
I went to work for Broussard Logistics in the Heights as an Account Manager / Account Auditor and worked there for 8 years. I was very Blessed and humbled when I was asked to apply for the open position of Information/Records Coordinator back at Christ the Good Shepherd and started here full time in November of 2016.
My duties for this position include recording all Sacraments celebrated, creating certificates for all Sacraments, processing requests for Sacrament Certificate reprints, keeping our database up-to-date with new Parishioner registrations and updates to Parishioner records. I was also asked to become the Safe Environment Coordinator, and this position involves maintaining records for all volunteers in all ministries and following up on all Safe Environment renewals for volunteers when they become due. In addition to these duties, I am also an Assistant in the Bookkeeping Department coordinating all deposits and posting donations to all Church Funds and Parishioner accounts.
I have two children, Danny and Jessi, and 5 granddaughters. I have been a Parishioner at CGS since 1991.
