Baptismal Preparation: Springs of Faith

There are two main ways you can volunteer with Baptismal Prep: 

1) Baptism Catechist 
Help parents prepare for the baptism of their child by exploring the Rite of Baptism, the Scripture and Tradition behind each step of the Rite. 
 Expectations: 

• Volunteer to team one 3-hour session per month
• Work with a team to:
  1. Follow the provided Leader's Manual for step-by-step instructions
  2. Create a welcoming environment for participants
  3. Show video clips
  4. Facilitate a stress-free discussion

2) Baptism Sacristan
Help our clergy with the Rite of Baptism itself.
 Expectations: 

• Volunteer to help with baptisms one Saturday per month
• Set up for the Rite in the Church
• Welcome the families
• Assist the clergy during the Rite
• Put things away afterward
